Newham Wave 1 Affordable Homes 

This project for the London Borough of Newham involves the development of a number of small infill sites. Varying in size from three to 27 houses and flats, the schemes provide 99 homes for affordable rent with an average of 45% family homes across eight sites. The project demonstrates the contribution that infill development can make to addressing the nation’s housing shortage while also improving existing neighbourhoods through sensitive and contextual interventions.

The spacious and sustainable homes are designed to Passivhaus principles and futureproofed using air source heat pumps to meet energy demand.

Following Planning consent in February 2020, Newground has prepared tender information for all sites and the projects are due to start on site between January and March 2021.
