Newground is a London-based architecture and design practice established in 2013.
Our name represents our objective to contribute to the evolving built environment with inventive solutions rooted in experience.
As contributors to the built environment, we aim to be aware of what has come before, engaged with what is happening at present and alert to what is to come.
Well-resolved design solutions achieve a sense of inevitability. We set out to produce practical, legible and creative solutions to complex design challenges by engaging with the specifics of each project.
While we consider ourselves specialists through extensive experience in certain sectors, we believe that the same principles and processes of good design apply across all sectors.
• Housing: mixed-use, build to rent, extra care and student
• Office and retail
• Masterplanning and regeneration
We work on projects large and small. We have proven that smaller teams can design and deliver large and complex projects, often more creatively and efficiently than larger competitors. We also recognise the need to keep our portfolio varied, with a range of projects of different scales keeping our output fresh and relevant.
We design with delivery in mind and, wherever possible, aim to remain involved throughout all stages of our projects from concept to completion to help translate design ideas into places and buildings that people can appreciate.
We work as a focussed, responsive, collaborative team out of our ground-floor studio in the heart of London Bridge.
At Newground, we understand that our office culture has a direct bearing on our work. Our open-plan studio reflects our inclusive approach to design and helps us maintain a vibrant, supportive workplace. We are committed to equal opportunities and encourage all our staff to reach their full potential through involvement in all aspects of design.
We are looking for an experienced Part 2 or newly qualified Part 3 designer to join the growing team at our London Bridge studio. We would be pleased to speak with individuals who have a keen interest in architecture and are committed to the entire design process from concept to execution. Housing and Revit experience would be an advantage.
Email firstname.lastname@example.org enclosing a CV and samples of your work by November 30, 2018. Please note that only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
These are some of the clients Newground has had the pleasure to work with.
We are proud of the recognition and awards we have achieved in recent years.
