Eye of the Storm 

Eye of the storm is an installation that aims to bring colour and joy to the City. The dynamic simple shape aims to represent all the complexity of the contemporary urban spaces, which through tensions can connect and link people together.

The idea was to create not only a sculpture on the previous platform, but also to reinforce its presence and give it a new meaning. The introduction of cables and the superimposition of a new geometry create a playful dialogue with the existing structure while bringing colour and emphasising the third dimension.

The production process was conceived to be simple and quick to prevent major disruption in the daily life of the Square Mile. The standard components of steel cables can be easily assembled, avoiding time consuming and customised solution.
